EDF Renewable Energy, the firm building the Great Western wind farm in northwest Oklahoma has just acquired Global Resource Options, Inc, a privately owned company that provides development and turnkey engineering, procurement and construction. It allows EDF to expand further into other renewable energy forms.
The acquisition, according to the announcement by EDF makes it an autonomous business unit with a focus on distributed generation solar business to meet the growing demands of corporate customers seeking cost-effective renewable energy.
The acquired company, groSolar was founded in 1998 and has designed, built, procured equipment and installed more than 150 megawatts of solar power PV systems across the U.S.
