National Water Firm Expands Holdings in Branson

In Branson, Missouri, the Woodland Manor water system has been purchased by Missouri American Water.

The purchase involves only 170 customers but they will be incorporated into Missouri American Water’s Tri Lakes Operation which serves 6,500 customers in the Branson area, Warsaw, White Branch, Sedalia and Laurie, Missouri.

The acquisition was approved by the Missouri Public Service Commission last month and the closing took place this week.

Missouri American Water is a subsidiary of American Water and is the largest investor-owned water utility in the state. American Water has been in business for 130 years and has 6,700 employees nationwide. The company serves an estimated 15 million people in 47 states and Canada.
