Two men are facing felony charges of larceny of oilfield equipment and transporting a loaded firearm after allegedly taking batteries and solar panels from an oilfield site in Grady County, according to a Chickasha News report.

Colton Robbins of Lindsay and Travis Bunch of Nowata were arrested on charges of larceny of the oilfield equipment, possession of stolen property and transporting a loaded firearm. Robbins and Bunch were transported to the Grady County Jail on August 14.

Grady County Game Warden Michael Zimmerman was on patrol near the oilfield lease site when he observed a pickup that was being driven in a suspicious manner.

The game warden indicated the pickup was turning its headlights on and off while driving back and forth around an area near the town of Bradley.

Zimmerman made contact with the subjects and found the oilfield equipment in the cab as well as the bed of the pickup. A loaded firearm was also in the truck.

Robbins and Bunch bonded out of the Grady County Jail on August 15.

The Grady County District Attorney’s office will handle prosecution of the cases.
