Marathon Oil Turns Out Three Large Wells in Oklahoma’s STACK

The STACK’s latest big hits to be reported to the Corporation Commission are three wells by Houston, Texas based Marathon Oil Company…the largest coming in at more than 2,000 barrels of oil a day.

The Marjorie in Blaine County is producing 2,070 barrels a day along with 3,285 Mcf of gas, according to the completion reports published at OK Energy Today. Marathon had a spud date of April 3 in the Mississippian and finished drilling on April 25 with completion made on August 1.

Two other wells, each producing 1,553 Boed at the same location were also reported. The site sits six miles north of the Chisholm Trail tech Center located on state highway 33. Named the Lloyd wells, they are located about a half mile north of Blaine County’s Lemon road.
