Oklahoma AG Mike Hunter Announces Key Staff Appointments

Mike Hunter

Newly appointed Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter is making some key staff changes in his office following the departure of his predecessor Scott Pruitt, who was recently chosen to lead the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Hunter announced Wednesday that Oklahoma Tax Commissioner Dawn Cash will serve as his First Assistant Attorney General. Cash is the former director of the Tax Policy Division and Senior Deputy General Counsel at the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Cash will replace Cara Rodriguez, who is resigning to accept a position in private practice with Coffee & Associates, an Oklahoma City law firm established by former Senate President Pro Tempore and Secretary of State, Glenn Coffee.

AG Hunter also announced that former KOCO-TV broadcast journalist Terri Watkins will become his Director of Communications. Watkins has previously served in a communications capacity for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Commissioners of the Land Office and Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector’s Office.

Former press secretary, Lincoln Ferguson, will join Scott Pruitt’s staff at the EPA.
