The Oklahoma House of Representatives could vote this week on a bill eliminating the tax credits for the wind industry.

Rep. Leslie Osborn (R-Mustang) calls it a reasonable thing to do. And she should know. She’s chairwoman of the House Appropriations and Budget Committee.

As head of the committee, Osborn has dealt with all of the intricate challenges as a result of the state’s nearly $900 million budget failure.

She agrees with former Gov. Frank Keating who recently wrote that he was wrong to have allowed the creation of the wind tax credit program for the state.

“Now we’re into the billions of dollars,” said Osborn in a recent interview on Scott Mitchell’s “Inside the House podcast.
