Pruitt—-Administration is Not Turning Its Back on Clean Environment

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt says critics of President Trump’s executive order declaring an end to President Obama’s “war on coal” have it wrong.

Writing this week in the Washington Times, the former Oklahoma Attorney General stated the Trump administration is not turning its back on a clean environment and regulation altogether.

He said the “war on coal” sanctioned by the EPA and other agencies “divided Americans and strengthened Washington’s grip on our economy. Thankfully, President Trump has made clear, the regulatory assault on American workers is over.”

Pruitt wrote that Americans should not have to choose between supporting jobs and supporting the environment. He went on to claim that the Clean Power Plan was never implemented and was “unable to do a single thing for our environment.”
