Expanded Oil and Gas Drilling Permits for Noble County

Two oil and gas exploration companies intend to keep busy in the state if the latest permit report is any indication.

Newfield Exploration based in Houston filed for five permits in Kingfisher County, showing the firm’s interest in the STACK is not easing whatsoever.

DonRay Petroleum LLC based in Oklahoma City filed and obtained 8 permits to drill in Noble County, all at the same site, 31 24N 1W. The wells are Grace #35, #36, #37, #38, #39, #40, #41 and #42. The company had earlier drilled and completed a number of other Grace wells.

The drilling sites are just west of Interstate 35, 6 miles east of Billings and just south of the Cimarron Travel Plaza.

Newfield Exploration is doing the same drilling of several wells at one site. Its Rodenburg wells will be drilled at 06 15N 9W which is on land about two miles south of the Chisholm Trail Technology Center along State highway 33. That puts the wells midway between Watonga and Kingfisher.
