Scott Pruitt’s Religious Faith and How It Applies to His EPA Leadership

As the new administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt’s taken a lot of fire from critics. Environmentalists have explored and closely examined his communications with oil and gas groups, his lawsuits against the Obama administration’s EPA and his decisions regarding environmental issues in Oklahoma.

Not until now has his religious faith been explored and it’s been done in a detailed report by E and E News reporter Niina Heikkinen.

The story examines Pruitt’s faith as a Southern Baptist and member of the First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, his attendance at a Christian college in Kentucky and the missionary trip he once took to Romania.

It might also explain Pruitt’s friendship with Sen. James Lankford, who was a Southern Baptist minister before he was elected to Congress then to the Senate.
