Devon Energy’s reporting the success of three wells, each producing more than 1,000 barrels of oil a day in Oklahoma’s STACK. They were among eleven wells reported as completed, according to OK Energy Today’s Well Completion Reports.
All three of the large wells were apparent DUCS or drilled but uncompleted wells because each had spud dates in late 2016 and completions were not made until July 2017.
The largest was the Sidewinder in Blaine County, 5 16N 10W and produced 1,360 boed along with 2,715 mcf of natural gas. It is located 7 miles northeast of Watonga and had a November 2016 spud date with drilling finished in December of that year. It was completed until July 27, 2017. The Sidewinder was one of two successful wells reported in Blaine county. Devon drilled the Sequoia, 11 15N 12W or 4 miles southwest of Watonga and saw its production at 787 barrels of oil equivalent a day.
Three large wells by Devon were drilled in Kingfisher county. The Stangl, 1 15N 9W and located 10 miles southwest of Kingfisher had production of 1,172 barrels a day along with 1,813 mcf of gas. It had a December 2016 spud date and drilling was finished the same month. Completion wasn’t made until July 8, 2017.
The Bernhardt, 17 15N 9W, also in Kingfisher county had completion production of 1,037 barrels of oil a day along with 5,325 mcf of gas. Its spud date was November 2016. Drilling was finished in January 2017 and completion was made July 4, 2017.
Devon also reported two successful wells in Woodward County, one northwest of Seiling and another 5 miles southeast of Woodward. Their productions were less than 50 boed.
Five wells by Devon were hit in Canadian county. Two were multi-unit wells located a mile northwest of El Reno. Others were drilled southwest of Okarche and north of Calumet. The largest produced about 300 boed.
