Devon Keeps Hitting Large Wells in STACK

Still more success in the STACK by Devon Energy as it reports a well producing more than 1,200 barrels of oil a day in Kingfisher County.

As indicated by OK Energy Today’s Well Completion reports, The Oklahoma City-based firm brought in Ricky’s Ridge well, 21 15N 8W with production of 1,202 Boed along with 3,246 mcf of gas. The well was spudded in November 2016. Drilling finished a month later and the company sat on the well until completion was made in July 2017.

The well is located about 4 miles northwest of Okarche. It was one of two Kingfisher County wells reported this week by Devon. The other produced about 700 Boed. The Geis, 1 15N 9W had a spud date of December 2016 and drilling finished in January 2017. Completion wasn’t made until last month. The Geis is located about 8 miles northwest of Okarche.

Devon also reported two oil wells in Canadian County and one in Woodward County.

Continental Resources brought in a large gas well about 6 miles northeast of Rush Springs, 31 5N 6W with production of 10,790 mcf. The Griswold well was spudded in December 2016. Drilling was finished in March 2017 and completion wasn’t made until July 2017.

Continental also brought in three wells in Blaine County. Two oil wells were completed southwest and northeast of Watonga while a gas well was completed north of Hydro.
