Tri State Oil and Gas Convention Underway in Woodward

Northwest Oklahoma’s 6th annual Tri State Oil and Gas Convention is underway in Woodward.

Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb will launch the convention Thursday morning with the opening keynote address beginning at 9:15. He’ll be followed by the annual Legislative Panel to be moderated by Adam Wilmoth, Energy Editor of the Oklahoman. The final speaker of the day will be following the lunch.

Dozens of exhibitors will open their booths at 7:30 a.m. at the Woodward Conference Center, showcasing the latest technology for production, drilling and related petroleum industry partners.

Organizers of the Tri-Show show say it’s their intent to provide opportunities for the industry to assemble, discuss and implement more productive and efficient ways to accomplish respective company objectives.

The convention also includes honoring the legacy of energy pioneer Bobby Joe Cudd, a golf tournament and scholarships for area high school seniors.

At least 50 golf teams will take part Friday in the annual Bobby Joe Cuff Legacy Golf Tournament at the Boiling Springs Golf course with proceeds going to fund scholarships for graduating seniors.
