New York based Viking Energy Group has bought more oil and gas leases of shallow-well opportunities in eastern Kansas.
It’s the second purchase in the past month. Using a wholly-owned subsidiary, Mid-Con Drilling LLC, the company acquired a 100% working interest ni six new oil and gas leases in Miami and Franklin Counties.
The wells in the region are shallow and sometime less than 1,000 feet deep. They produce from the Cherokee formation.
Viking is an independent exploration and production company and has leases in Kansas, Missouri and Alberta.
