Senators James Lankford and Markwayne Mullin are among 25 Senate Republicans who introduced legislation to block the Biden administration from implementing regulations targeting gas-powreed car tailpipe emissions.

West Virginia Democrat, Sen. Joe Manchin joined their effort. Idaho Sen. Mike Crap led the proposal to strike down the EPA proposal that would tighten vehicle tailpipe emissions restrictions.

“Once again, the Biden administration’s rule-making process is being used to push a radical green agenda and pick winners and losers,” Crapo said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Americans deserve to have access to affordable, reliable vehicles fueled by American-made energy products.

Sens. Lankford and Mullen were among GOP Senators who sent a letter to the EPA last May, asking the agency to withdraw its proposal. They followed up with the introduction of legislation.
