LSB begins turnaround at Pryor plant

LSB Industries, Inc. announced this week that it will begin the previously scheduled turnaround at its Pryor, Oklahoma facility immediately, rather than in July 2026 as initially planned. The company stated that, based on information currently available, it does not expect the change in timing to affect the duration or cost estimates for the turnaround.

The announcement was made in a press release statement and disclosed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. LSB Industries noted that the turnaround was previously announced and that the new schedule is effective as of May 28, 2026 reported Investing.com. The turnaround involves scheduled maintenance and upgrade activities designed to improve operational reliability, increase daily production volumes, and optimize the plant’s product mix.

Other details about the turnaround were not released by the Oklahoma City-based company that manufactures industrial inorganic chemicals. LSB previously completed a turnaround at the Pryor plant in 2024.

LSB Industries recently reported financial results for the first quarter of 2026, significantly exceeding analyst expectations. The company achieved an earnings per share of $0.27, a notable increase compared to the projected $0.11, representing a 145.45% surprise. Additionally, LSB Industries’ revenue reached $169.5 million, surpassing the anticipated $162.97 million.

These results reflect positively on the company’s strategic initiatives and financial performance. In another development, LSB Industries announced an agreement to acquire full ownership of Project Blue, a carbon capture and sequestration project at its El Dorado, Arkansas facility. The acquisition with Lapis Carbon Solutions involves no upfront cash payment at closing, with investments planned in stages based on project milestones. These recent developments highlight LSB Industries’ commitment to expanding its operations and enhancing its financial performance.
