CenterPoint Energy Oklahoma Gas has won a $1.9 million rate increase from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
CenterPoint is a Houston, Texas based firm with more than 7 million natural gas and electric customers in 8 states. Its Oklahoma customer base is about 100,000 customers in northern, southern and southwestern Oklahoma.
Commissioners voted in support of the rate plan after conducting an annual review of the firm’s plan. The company’s 88,685 residential customers will see bills go up $1.28 a month, an increase that will make up $1.36 million of the rate hike. Bills for commercial customers will also see an increase.
