After two days of 2% gains, crude oil prices fell more than 1% or a dollar a barrel in Thursday’s trading as another OPEC report fueled worries about summer demand.
West Texas Intermediate dropped $1.10 or 1.3% to finish at $82.16 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude settled down 1.4% on a fall of $1.24 per barrel and closed at $86.09 on ICE Futures Europe.
It was another day of mixed trading for Oklahoma energy stocks. While Chesapeake Energy rose 2% and Unit Corporation gained about 5%, LSB Industries dropped 5% and PHX Minerals declined by 2%.
