Crude oil prices jumped up more than 1% on Tuesday after the Israeli military attacked Hamas leadership in the Qatari capital of Doha.

Qatar called the attack “cowardly” and said it was a violation of international law. Israel’s attack came a few days after four of its soldiers were killed in a tank attacked by Hamas terrorists. The terrorists threw an explosive through the open hatch of the tank and killed the soldiers.

Brent crude finished up 74 cents or 1.1% and closed at $66.76 a barrel.

West Texas Intermediate crude closed up 74 cents or 1.2% at $63 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Natural gas finished up $0.026 or 0.84% at $3.116 per MMBtu.

More Oklahoma energy stocks scored losses on Tuesday than those firms that finished the day with gains.

Empire Petroleum dropped nearly 7% and LSB Industries along with Stardust Power finished down about 5%.
