The Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) Foundation has awarded 16 STEM after-school grants to FFA chapters across Oklahoma, supporting innovative science, technology, engineering, and math projects for the 2026-2027 school year.
The FFA STEM After-school Grant program is part of the PSO Foundation’s broader effort to
promote academic achievement and workforce development across the state.
Grants will be awarded to FFA chapters in Bartlesville, Antlers, Hugo, Valliant, Wapanucka,
Apache, Fletcher, Navajo-Tipton-Altus, Stigler, Wister, Wister-Howe, Burns Flat-Dill,
Carnegie, Mountain View-Gotebo, Weatherford, and Newkirk.
These grants will empower students in hands-on learning through projects in animal
science, food safety, agricultural technology, and more. The program is designed to spark
curiosity and career readiness in agriculture-related STEM fields, supporting everything
from school gardens to drone aviation.
Each winning chapter will be recognized at the upcoming FFA Chapter Officer Leadership
Training (COLT) conferences, held across five regional events in late August and September.
“Opportunities like the PSO Foundation’s STEM After-School Grants allow FFA students to
take what they learn in the classroom and apply it to real world challenges,” said Jacey Fye,
Executive Director of Oklahoma FFA Foundation. “These grants give students the resources
to explore new ideas, develop valuable skills and see how agriculture and STEM connect to
the careers of the future.”
The PSO Foundation awards charitable grants within communities served by PSO, an operating
subsidiary of American Electric Power (Nasdaq: AEP). The PSO Foundation, along with the rest of the
American Electric Power Foundation, is funded by AEP and its operating subsidiaries solely through
shareholder dollars.
